Terms and Conditions

Our sales are classed as “business to business” and as such are covered by the consumer contracts act. We do not sell to individuals and you agree that upon purchasing, you are purchasing as a business. Our courses are released to the business purchasing at time of purchase.

 

Payments

Payment is required in full at the time of booking.

Right to cancel

We provide training courses which may include both practical training and digital content.

We provide face to face and online courses.

Deposits are completely non refundable and non transferable on cancellations or no-shows.

For Face to Face training ou have 14 days after you make your booking to cancel your course, if you cancel 48 hours before the course date you will liable for full payment. 

For online courses full service is provided within the 14 day cancellation period as all students have immediate access to all course materials videos and downloadable manuals.  There are strictly no refunds or exchanges

Lateness to course, anybody who is turning up later than 15 minutes to their course will have to rebook their course and will lose their £100 deposit.

We have the right to cancel classes with prior warning, you will be given the opportunity to then pick another day which suits you.

Due to the Coronavirus, any course that has been paid for can be delayed/done online to avoid spread of disease and to follow government policy. 

 

Online Training

Please ensure online courses meet your training needs, you have a suitable device connected to the internet through which to access the course and are able to source the products/tools/models you require to complete the necessary case studies to pass the course. We may consider transferring students to one of our other online courses to the same value as goodwill, where a course is found to be unsuitable for an individual student; although this will be subject to an additional registration fee of £25.

 

Students who book online beauty courses will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of booking which will include details of how the course will be taught and all information required. 

Enrolment for online courses runs for 16 weeks during which time you must work through the learning resources, complete the multiple choice theory assessments and submit your case studies.

Please note it is important to make timely progress with your online course. If you encounter any difficulties, please contact our educators team without delay who will be happy to assist on loveartbeauty@hotmail.com

Enrolment expires after 16 weeks from date of booking. Students who do not complete within this time, will not receive their certificate and would need to re-enrol at the standard fee if wishing to complete. A one-off extension of 28 days can only be provided in the case of medical or compassionate circumstances at the discretion of The Lab Training Academy, for which suitable proof may be requested to validate your request. Request for such must be made before expiration of your enrolment period. 

Students must ensure they have suitable access to the internet and hardware (pc, mobile phone, iPad etc.) in order to access and complete their course. No refunds can be issued due to failure to ensure this before booking. Any issues with gaining access should be reported to our educators team at loveartbeauty@hotmail.com to ensure you are able to access and complete your course within your enrolment period to avoid incurring costs to extend enrolment.

Online courses require completion of theory tests and some case studies at home (for which you will need to work on friends/family and have access to basic products at home). Theory tests are completed and a pass mark of 70% or above is required for each test but these can be retaken online as many times as needed until you pass. Case studies can be submitted by email to loveartbeauty@hotmail.com 

Once case studies are received, these will be evaluated by our educators . You will receive feedback and/or your certificate by email within 10 working days of submission.   Our educators team are on-hand by email to assist you throughout your studies and beyond.

 

Named Student

Booked training is non-transferable to an alternative student. Please ensure the booking is made giving the correct name of the person completing the course at the time of making payment. Amendments to this will be chargeable at £25 per course.

 

Insurance

We advise that you check with your insurance company prior to purchasing that they will cover you for the course you are wanting to complete. Our courses are accredited and insurable, however we cannot speak on behalf of individual insurance companies. No refunds will be granted due to you being unable to gain insurance.

 

Certificates

An electronic certificate will be sent to your email address upon successful completion of the assessment. If you require a hard copy, we provide this for £10. 

 

Liability

We recommend that you practice on models to perfect the treatment you have learnt with us. It is the responsibility of the student to be confident and competent to carry out treatments on clients. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure they are fully insured to carry out any treatment.

 

Intellectual Property

Our manuals and course content are the intellectual property of The Lab. Anyone found to be using our content without prior consent will be contacted immediately. While we make every effort to run courses as advertised, we reserve the right to change course content and assessment.

 

General

 

All practical training must be completed within 6 months of booking your course, unless otherwise agreed in writing at the time of booking. 

 

Online courses are open to those of any age as no attendance of our centres is required. Please note most insurers will only provide public liability (beauty therapist) insurance for working with the general public to those aged 18 or over, although some selected companies will accept those aged 16 or over.

 

When booking a course online, please note that your booking is not confirmed until a Confirmation Email has been sent by our admin team to acknowledge your booking. The online payment receipt does not form a guaranteed or confirmed booking.

 

Replacement certificates (sent by email and hard copy by post) for training completed more than 28 days past but within the last 3 years from today’s date is £25 per certificate required.

Once your payment is received, your request will be processed and your certificate(s) sent to you within 5 working days.
